2 more recipes with chorizo shown in the last 2 weeks, Simon Rimmer on “Something for the Weekend” did a pork, chorizo and butter bean stew. This would have been, (Ho Ho!) more authentic if he had used Spanish Judion Beans which you can buy dry from us or ready cooked from a well known supermarket in their specialist section. Hugh Fernley-Whittingstall of River Cottage fame had a Mexican recipe with chorizo and pork but its certainly not for somebody in a hurry! Correction to my last item – there are 113 chorizo recipes on the BBC site, 38 on Channel 4, and 50 on UKTV Food. I used our new semi-cured cooking chorizo over the weekend and it would be perfect to use in many of the recipes which need you to cook chorizo.
