On the evening of Wednesday 18th February we implemented a large pricing update and restructure. As you are probably aware, the value of the pound fell 20% in the latter part of last year, and inflation in Spain is pushing up food costs quickly. Our prices were thus due to rise by up to 30%. We understand that this would make many products very expensive to the final customer so we decided to make our pricing system more transparent. Although we now pass the delivery cost on to the customer, the net result is much cheaper prices than would otherwise have been the case. In fact, the price of many products has actually been reduced substantially. Even though you are now paying £5.99 delivery, most orders will be cheaper overall than under the previous pricing system of giving free delivery. For a larger orders especially, customers will save much more under the new pricing system than the £5.99 delivery charge.
